Swim instruction is the best part-time job available. Not only are we participating in the formation of foundational memories for dozens of children in the local community, but we’re also teaching them skills that could one day save their lives. That said, it’s much more than an impactful job - it's also a ton of fun! What other job would let you show up in flip flops every day and spend your shift in a pool?

  • A Path to Full-Time Work: While this may only be a part-time job for you at first, aquatics represents a multi-billion dollar global industry with full-time positions all over the country. A part-time job at Leaps & Bounds can lead to salaried career opportunities elsewhere as a:
    • Swim team coach
    • Swim school manager or supervisor
    • Lifeguard/CPR trainer
    • Pool maintenance worker
    • Personal Fitness trainer
    • Childcare worker
    • Classroom teacher
    • Although we’re just getting started, we hope to offer some full-time swim instructor positions to our staff in the near future!

STARTING PAY:
  • $9.50-$10.50/hour

REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid CPR Certification (we connect new staff with a certification course)
  • A love for kids
  • A love for the water, and the ability to swim confidently

According to the CDC, drowning is the #1 cause of accidental death among children ages 1-4, and this number only drops to #2 by the age of 14. Additionally, 46% of American adults are afraid to go in swimming pools deeper than they can stand. Compensation: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour




Member schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school.
